CHATTER BOX SERIES
"Chatter Box" is a series of watercolor paintings on paper centered around the theme of communication challenges. These artworks explore the intricate social exchange in conveying thoughts, emotions, and information. Through these paintings, I offer a distinctive perspective on the nuanced discourse of message exchange.
The collection addresses diverse subjects, including passing down cultural legacies, emotional connections to the medical field, feeling unheard, navigating social and political dialogues, and constructive argumentation. The artwork's playful essence allows us to see ourselves in these imperfect exchanges. I use handmade cotton paper for its inherent imperfections, akin to human nature. Employing brushes, ink, watercolor, and gouache, I create a range of hues that complement my intentions. (Installation image; Love Spat, 2021)
